Rose Quarter has four parking garages and two surface lots totaling over 2,500 spaces within a five-minute walk. Official garage pricing runs $20–$35, but you can cut that to $5–$8 at the U-Store Rose Quarter lot—or skip parking entirely with a $5.60 TriMet day pass on MAX Light Rail, which drops you at the arena's doorstep. With the Portland Fire (WNBA) adding 22 home games starting May 2026, parking pressure at the Rose Quarter is about to increase significantly.

Four garages totaling 2,475+ covered spaces within a five-minute walk. Each has a different strength.
Physically attached to the north end of Moda Center. Zero outdoor walking. 24 ADA accessible spaces on P3 level with a direct covered walkway into the arena. Entrance on the south side of Ramsay Way at Wheeler Ave. No full-size trucks, SUVs with roof racks, or anything taller than 6'8". Fills 60–90 minutes before tipoff on Blazers game nights. Post-event, this is the slowest garage to exit because all traffic funnels through one point onto Ramsay Way.
You have mobility needs, it's raining, or you want the absolute shortest walk.
You want a fast exit, drive a tall vehicle, or arrive less than an hour before a sellout.
Best EV charging odds on campus: 11 stations across 533 spaces, or 1 charger per 48 spaces. Height clearance of 8'2" fits full-size SUVs and trucks with roof cargo. Main entrance off Broadway/Weidler with a secondary entrance from Ramsay Way. 14 ADA accessible spaces with elevator access.
You drive an EV, have a tall vehicle, or want decent availability without paying Annex prices.
Broadway traffic on game nights frustrates you.
Fastest post-event exit on campus. Exits directly onto Interstate Ave, giving you the cleanest merge to I-5 North or South. Height clearance: 8'2". 12 ADA accessible spaces with elevator access. 7 EV stations. This is the garage regulars who attend frequently and want to get home fast tend to pick.
Getting out quickly matters more than a short walk in.
You need the closest possible entrance to the arena.
The most expensive garage on campus at $30–$40. Standard 6'8" height clearance. 9 ADA accessible spaces with elevator access. Only 2 EV stations across 350 spaces — the worst EV odds on campus (1 per 175 spaces). Most people end up here when the other three garages fill.
Everything else is full.
You have any other option — it's consistently the most expensive with the fewest EV chargers.
The only on-campus option for RVs and buses. ADA spaces are at ground level — no stairs or elevator needed. Important: the Benton Lot is sometimes reserved for event operations and not available for public parking. Check rosequarter.com in advance.
Three ways to pay significantly less than the $20–$35 official garage rate.
N Benton Ave & N Dixon St
Cheapest paid parking within walking distance. Popular with regulars who know about it. Uncovered, limited spaces, no advance reservations. First-come, first-served.
Five blocks east of arena
Over 1,700 spaces operated by Rose Quarter for Trail Blazers home games only. Not available for concerts, Winterhawks, or Portland Fire games. MAX trains run approximately every 5 minutes on game days.
777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd
800 spaces on two levels. Completely avoids Rose Quarter congestion and the Broadway/Weidler bottleneck. Credit/debit at drive-through booths; cash at south Ginkoberry kiosk. P1: 7 ft clearance. P2: 9 ft clearance. 4 EV stations. Opens 6 AM. No RVs or oversized vehicles.
All 28 EV charging stations across the four garages are complimentary for guests who have paid for parking, courtesy of Pacific Office Automation. Spots cannot be reserved. Arrive early if you need one.
| Garage | EV Stations | Total Spaces | EV-to-Space Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| East Broadway | 11 | 533 | 1 per 48 spaces — best chance |
| Garden | 8 | 1,038 | 1 per 130 spaces |
| West Broadway | 7 | 554 | 1 per 79 spaces |
| Annex | 2 | 350 | 1 per 175 spaces — worst chance |
If you drive an EV and want the best odds at a charger, head to East Broadway.
The Rose Quarter Transit Center is at the arena's doorstep, adjacent to Moda Center on the south side. A $5.60 Hop Fastpass day pass covers unlimited rides all day. Tap your phone or contactless credit/debit card on the green reader when boarding.
| Park & Ride | Line | Ride Time |
|---|---|---|
| Sunset TC | Blue / Red | ~25 min |
| Hollywood TC | Red / Blue | ~10 min |
| Gateway TC | Blue / Green / Red | ~15 min |
| Clackamas TC | Green | ~30 min |
A family of four (2 adults + 2 youth) pays a maximum of $16.80 total for all-day transit ($5.60 + $5.60 + $2.80 + $2.80). That same family pays $25–$35 for one parking spot, plus fuel, plus 15–30 minutes in a garage exit queue. Transit wins on both cost and time for groups of three or more.
Portland's WNBA expansion franchise debuts May 9, 2026 with a home opener against the Chicago Sky at 6 PM. The Portland Fire add 22 home games at Moda Center from May through late September, turning what used to be a quiet summer at the Rose Quarter into a regular event corridor.
Summer months that were previously quiet at the Rose Quarter now trigger the $5/hr street parking rate regularly. Before the Fire, the district mostly activated October–April. Now it runs through September.
PBOT confirmed the Eliot neighborhood parking restrictions extend through September because of Fire games. Vehicles without a Zone V permit must pay to park during all summer events.
The 1,700 spaces at NE 7th & Multnomah are confirmed only for Trail Blazers home games. Plan on official garages or MAX for Fire games until an official announcement is made.
As of December 31, 2025, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) expanded pay-to-park enforcement north of NE Broadway into the Eliot neighborhood. Streets in Eliot that were previously free during events now require payment when the Lloyd Event District is active.
Lyft is the official rideshare partner of Moda Center. Pickup and drop-off is along NE Multnomah St and NE Wheeler Ave, outside the east entry. New Lyft users: code MODACE for 50% off first two rides (up to $10/ride).
Cost reality check: A round-trip Lyft from inner SE Portland runs roughly $20–$30 total. For solo attendees, rideshare and official parking cost about the same. For groups of 3–4, parking wins. For solo attendees going to 2+ events per month, a $100 MAX monthly pass beats everything.
Post-event surges on sold-out nights run 1.5–3x for about 20–30 minutes after events end.
62 total ADA spaces across all five parking areas.
| Garage / Lot | ADA Spaces | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Garden Garage | 24 | P3 level; dedicated ADA entrance directly into Moda Center via covered walkway — most direct accessible route |
| East Broadway | 14 | Available on most levels; elevator access |
| West Broadway | 12 | Available on most levels; elevator access |
| Annex | 9 | Elevator access |
| Benton Surface Lot | 3 | Ground level — no stairs or elevator needed |
Skip the car and take MAX, rideshare, or get dropped off if any of these apply.
A $100 TriMet monthly pass covers unlimited rides. Two events in a garage at $25 each = $50 minimum in parking alone, plus fuel and exit time. The monthly pass pays for itself by event three.
Garden Garage fills 60–90 minutes before Blazers tipoff. By the time you circle through the Broadway/Weidler bottleneck and get directed to the Annex at $30–$40, you've burned 20 minutes and overpaid.
Garden Garage and Annex both have 6'8" clearance. If you drive a full-size truck, SUV with a roof rack, or anything taller, your only covered options are East Broadway or West Broadway (8'2" clearance each). Benton Surface Lot has no height restriction but may be reserved for operations.
A family of four pays $16.80 max on TriMet for the entire day. The cheapest garage spot is $20–$25 for the group, plus fuel, plus the exit queue. Park at Gateway, Hollywood, or Clackamas Town Center for free and ride in.
Garden Garage exit takes 10–20 minutes on a sellout. MAX trains start running immediately. Walking two blocks and requesting a rideshare gets you moving faster than sitting in a garage queue.
GPS Address: 1 N Center Ct St, Portland, OR 97227

Take the Rose Quarter Exit. Turn left on Broadway (second light). Turn left on Vancouver Ave (second light). Proceed straight, enter garages as directed.
Take I-405 North/Seattle exit. Take Everett St exit. Proceed straight over the Steel Bridge. Turn left onto Interstate Ave (first light). Enter garages as directed.
Approximately two hours before event start time. For a 7 PM Blazers tipoff, expect garages to open around 5 PM. For a 6 PM Portland Fire home opener, around 4 PM.
Pre-paid parking is available through Ticketmaster (Blazers), ParkWhiz, SpotHero, Vivid Seats, and the Rose Quarter Box Office. The garages themselves have shifted toward card-only. Confirm with the Box Office at (503) 797-9619 if cash is a requirement. The Oregon Convention Center garage is credit/debit at drive-through booths but accepts cash at the south Ginkoberry entrance kiosk.
Significantly less than before. The Lloyd Event District expanded in late 2025, extending $5/hr event pricing north of NE Broadway into the Eliot neighborhood. During non-event times, Lloyd District on-street meters are $1.80/hr Monday through Saturday and free on Sundays. Some residential streets east of MLK beyond the event district boundary may still be unrestricted, but check signage carefully.
Expect 10–20 minutes from most garages after a sellout. Garden Garage is consistently the slowest exit. West Broadway Garage exits directly onto Interstate Ave to I-5, making it the fastest departure.
Not confirmed as of March 2026. The off-site lots at NE 7th Avenue and Multnomah Street are confirmed only for Trail Blazers home games. Plan on official Rose Quarter garages or MAX transit for Fire games.
The U-Store Rose Quarter Lot at N Benton Ave and N Dixon St charges $5–$8 per event. It's the cheapest paid parking within walking distance at 0.3 miles (5-minute walk). If you're willing to take MAX, a $5.60 day pass covers the entire day and drops you right at the arena.
Yes. 28 stations across four garages, all complimentary with paid parking courtesy of Pacific Office Automation. Spots cannot be reserved. East Broadway Garage has the best odds with 11 stations across 533 spaces (1 per 48 spaces).
